So What Is New At SYTT?

The members of SYTT have been busy getting Dennis dominator 2414 (A414YAK) roadworthy again. Having been stood out of use since the end of 2004 when she was withdrawn at Rotherham garage with a gearbox fault 2414 was brought out of the storage area at Tinsley and put on an inspection pit. After a quick inspection work commenced to gain an MOT. Some 45 man hours later and about £500 spent 2414 passed her MOT on Saturday 11July 2009. 2414 has since attended the Elland Road Leeds and Sandtoft rallies. 2414 is very tatty cosmetically and will recieve a new set of pannels and a full SYPTE repaint over the Winter period.

SYTT has recently launched a membership scheme and would welcome any new potential members, both active or non active. It is dead easy to join SYTT - why not see the SYTT membership page on this website for further details.

Work has now commenced on some of the vehicles at Tinsley. Most notable is SYPTE Fleetline 836 which has been seeing a lot of rebuilding work both at Kimberworth and Tinsley. 836 will be a credit to her owner Richard gregory when she is complete - watch this space for some work in progress shots in the near future.

Our website is till under construction - keep visiting regularly to see new updates. Have you anything you may wish to contribute? If so get in touch via the contact details on our Location page.
